The scheme was a complex four-storey extension and redevelopment of the engineering centre on Olive Grove Road, with a new teaching block, workshops for engineering courses. The spaces include robotics, control systems engineering, pneumatics and hydraulics, programmable logic control, motor sport, specialist welding and fabrication and metallurgy, as well as sustainable development.

The engineering services required detailed coordination in the engineering workshops to ensure that the building services worked with and interfaced with the specialist FFE in the teaching workshops.
