CAD21 are delivering the full RIBA design duties for the new collocation Blue Light Hub in Lincoln. The building is a consolidation of Lincolnshire Police, Lincoln Fire & Rescue and the East Midlands Ambulance service to operate in one building.

The new development, on the site of the existing Fire & Rescue station, comprises of 20 custody cells and supporting custody suite facilities., shared and communal office space between all 3No services, a new vehicle bay, CSI department all linked via a central atrium.

Key Challenges:

• Sub zoning of the tri-services accommodation
• Establishing the occupational building profiling to suit he tri-services collaborative working environment to allow s to predict actual in use energy in line with TM54

The building engineering solutions are high efficiency VRF heating and cooling systems in administrative areas, high efficiency plate heat exchangers on all AHU plants, lighting and automatic controls throughout, and PV panels on the main building’s roof.

CAD21 are also appointed by the MEP contractor, SES to complete their RIBA 4b & 4c installation drawing work in line with the BEP.
