Project Overview

Kidsgrove Leisure centre for Newcastle Under Lyme council which was fully refurbished in 2021.

The facility had two swimming pools within the leisure centre, one that was refurbished to retain the large pool with the training pool converted into a changing village.

The other works comprised of internal re-modelling of areas to include a new gym, have a wellbeing area with a sauna/steam, dry change and then refurbishment of a new sports hall.

We worked with Willmott Dixon via Scape from RIBA Stage 2 to develop the scheme to RIBA Stage 4, working on challenges around the site constraints of limited service voids whilst meeting the constraints of the commercial budget.

The scheme had a MEP services renewed along with an upgrade of Utilities to account for the increase in load to the revised building.
