Darren came to CAD21 from manufacturing, after spotting an advert in the local paper for a junior electrical engineer. Twenty-three years later he heads the electrical team in Tyneside and leads the practice’s healthcare work, which makes him the longest serving of the team here. What’s kept him here is the people as there’s always room for a laugh but everyone gets stuck in until the job’s done.

Freeman Hospital, Day Treatment Centre
A live hospital site on a very tight programme. What made it work was the team, everyone pulling together and decisions taken fast to keep things moving, so the timescale never became the thing that stalled it.
