Graham Parker Principal Electrical Engineer at CAD21 Tyneside office

Graham Parker

Principal Electrical Engineer
Tyneside
Electrical
BEng (Hons), IEng, ACIBSE, MIET
at CAD21 since 2022

Graham leads electrical delivery on Healthcare, Defence and Education projects, taking them from concept through to completion. Much of the job is keeping the team pointed in the same direction, so alongside the design work, he manages and mentors the engineers through every stage. The designs themselves stay practical and efficient, worked out with the client, architect and wider design team rather than handed over at the end.

A project Graham is most proud of is the Montagu Community Diagnostic Centre, one of Graham’s first projects at CAD21, needing new primary infrastructure integrated into an existing site and close coordination across the whole design team. The collaboration was recognised with the Integration and Collaborative Working award at Constructing Excellence Yorkshire and Humber 2025.

Outside of work, you’ll find me…

Watching football, with my wife and three young children, walking the dogs, tinkering with my smart home setup, or playing the piano.

The kind of problem I like getting stuck into…

Working inside real constraints to get a design that’s accurate and efficient, then refining it until it’s ready for the real world.
