Outside of work, you’ll find me…
Chris Cartwright
Leads the Yorkshire office, heading CAD21’s public sector, healthcare and custody work. Chris came up through a trade apprenticeship in 1994 and has spent most of his career in building performance, interperating how a building performs once people are using it, tested early with simulation and fed back into the design for optimal efficiency. That thinking is clearest in the Custody sector, where Chris built the CODE standard: a repeatable, engineered answer to the custody brief that gets sharper each time, checking real energy use against prediction after each suite opens and carrying the lessons into the next.
Snowboarding, mountain biking, or on a squash court.
The kind of problem I like getting stuck into…
Helping a client get to what they need when they can’t quite name it yet. No two jobs are the same, and using experience to work a complex brief into something that fits is the satisfying part.
